Robotics and Engineering

Would you like to invent the next generation of robotic toys? Build cool animatronic equipment and special effects for amusement parks and the entertainment industry? Design robots to explore where humans cannot, like the depths of the ocean or faraway planets?  Increase manufacturing capacity by creating specialized robots for each automatable task? Get a head start on an exciting career as a Robotics Engineer by joining this innovative new program at NEWTECH!

Robotics is a rapidly growing field that has applications in diverse industries.  If you have excellent problem-solving skills, creativity, mechanical aptitude, pay attention to detail, and work well as a member of a team, then this program could be a great fit for you.

What you will learn:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Software Engineering
  • Electronic and Electrical Engineering
  • Computer and Software Engineering
  • Control Engineering

At the heart of every robot is a robotics engineer who works with several engineering disciplines to conceive and put together the perfect piece of equipment.  As part of this course, you will design and build your own project following the engineering processes learned in class.  In addition, you can earn .5 Physics credit per semester!
